Project
Sibling Architecture
Nestled in the vibrant rural city of Wangaratta in picturesque northeast Victoria, the Wangaratta District Specialist School provides a supportive and positive learning environment for students in the surrounding region with special needs. Recently, Sibling Architecture and Moretto Building completed this Award-Winning project for the Victorian School Building Authority, creating a vibrant new building, sports court, and landscape, breathing new life into the school – and our Maxiply plywood panels played a key role in the project’s success.
Essential aims of the project
To achieve these aims, our versatile plywood panels were the perfect choice, and feature heavily throughout the design. Utilised for both their aesthetic value and ability to attenuate sound, our plywood panels also incorporate the natural beauty of timber, all of which are essential elements within a sensory environment.
Maxiply products on show
The architects selected a range of Maxiply products to use within the new building, showcasing the versatility of our products.
Selected for its unique look and sound absorption abilities, Maxi Perforated Panel features widely on the walls and ceilings of classrooms and shared learning spaces.
Specs: Maxi Perforated Panel, Monterey Pine, Natural Sand, Vague Square, 8mm holes with acoustic mounting system.
Attractive and highly durable, it’s easy to see why Maxi Panel is such a popular choice within educational settings. This design enhances the look and longevity of the classroom joinery.
Specs: Maxi Panel, Monterey Pine, Natural Sand with concealed plug fixings.
Unique scalloped profiles of our decorative Maxi Deco panels are a wonderful fit within a sensory environment. Effortlessly adding a sense of depth and a soft touch to feature walls within the building, we’re sure the students will love this aspect.
Specs: Maxi Deco, Natural Sand, CV55-243 profile.
