A Deep Dive into Maxiply’s Versatile Plywood Solutions

It’s no secret that one of the key reasons for plywood’s growing popularity as a material of choice for modern interiors is its exciting versatility in every project. With variations across a range of elements, this humble timber product can be transformed into a seemingly endless array of attractive, durable and unique panels.

As a leading plywood supplier, our extensive range represents this versatility, with a vast selection of standard Maxiply products and the added capability to extend the options even further through our custom plywood solutions.

To provide insight into the possibilities, we’re taking a deep dive into the diverse range of Maxiply plywood panels, showcasing some recent projects which allowed our products to shine.

Maxi Panel – “The Trendsetter”

Our versatile hero and the ultimate all-rounder, Maxi Panel is available in your choice of timber, with a huge selection of natural hues and vibrant colours, and delivered pre-finished and ready to install. With this level of versatility, it’s easy to see why it is our most popular product.

Whether showcasing the natural beauty and warmth of wood or pairing it with the vivid colours of the Maxi Colour range, a showstopping result is assured. As you can see from our projects page, there are countless examples of stunning residential and commercial interiors where Maxi Panel in natural shades is beautifully displayed, including the soaring Maxi Panel Baltic Birch ceiling in the Fairfield renovation, and the Monterey Pine walls and ceilings of The Clarendon Centre within Loreto’s Toorak campus. At the other end of the spectrum, the pairing of a vivid custom orange with Maxi Panel in the shelving of the Diamond Valley College library makes a bold statement. The ability to utilise the versatility and incorporate multiple colours and timbers within one space is seen in another library, this time in Drysdale. Maxi Panel (alongside our Perforated Panels) is used extensively throughout, in both Baltic Birch and Monterey Pine in Aqua Green and Stone Grey, bringing unity and cohesion to the show-stopping contemporary design.

Maxi Perforated Panels – “The Quiet Achiever”

Not only are Maxi Perforated Panels versatile and attractive, but they also serve to dampen and attenuate sound, making them the ideal plywood solution for commercial and public spaces. While they are used extensively for ceilings, they are just as effective when placed on walls, as shown in the Wangaratta District Specialist School where the signature grain of Monterey Pine adds to the aesthetic appeal.

As well as being a popular choice for schools owing to their acoustic qualities, Maxi Panels are used extensively in corporate offices such as Botanicca, entertainment venues including ACMI and the Docklands Sound Stage 6 and sporting venues like Dendy Park.

Maxi Cladding – even more versatile variations

Adding further depth, texture, colour and visual interest, our extended range of plywood products allow for even more versatile variations.

Some of our clients’ favourites include:

  • Maxi Print: Make a statement in your design by adding a custom graphic, as seen in the award-winning St Joseph’s Primary School learning centre.
  • Maxi Veneer: This clever panel lets you enjoy the benefits of plywood and MDF while showcasing the look and feel of solid timber, just like in the stunning Darling Square.
  • Maxi Edge: If you love the layered look of plywood’s exposed edge, you will adore seeing it on top, demonstrated to perfection in the joinery of the Ripple House.
  • Maxi Grid: Fully customisable plywood solution for feature ceilings and walls such as the dramatic Black Film ceiling within the Intex Workplace.
